Can you believe it’s Easter?! My goodness neither can I. In years past, Christmas used to be my favorite season and holiday, but in my recent adulthood, Spring and Easter really have been my favorite for a couple of reasons.

  1. The days are becoming longer! There are more opportunities for us all to get outside and enjoy God’s beautiful creation.
  2. I can’t seem to get enough of the adorable spring decor. Okay, now, who is with me on this one? I can’t tell you how happy it makes me when it’s finally time to break out the Spring decor boxes. I can’t wait to set those bad boys up. Talk about a breath of fresh air…
  3. Along with, flowers and blooms, gardening, family walks, parks with the kids, and chocolate Easter eggs that we all eat too many of… Jesus rose. This one will tie in with my email to you when I get really raw with you about my struggles. But more on that later! Let’s get to the fun part, shall we?

Kick your feet up with me and lets chat about some Easter decorating, but the farmhouse way of course!

The Living Room

What do you think of those socks girlfriend? Do they not scream happiness and spring all in one? And for a DOLLAR in the Target dollar spot no less! Am I right or am I right?

Freshening up this area in the hub of my living room, was an absolute must. It’s the place that you first see in all its glory when you first walk through my front door. This gorgeous antique HUGE frame was from an old antique market in the downtown area. I fell in love when I saw it, so it came home with me. I barreled in my house, frame first, much to my husband’s eyebrow raise…”Again??” He proclaimed at me. “oooh yeah”.

I wanted to style my old antique hutch I found on Facebook that I got for FREE! You can read more about that HERE if you want to know the deets on that.

I added a tiered tray styled with my favorite pieces of Rae Dunn, an antique scale, and some spring florals. I used some risers I had previously to add some heights to some of these decor pieces so that they were more visible. There is a ledge on this old gal that I always seem to need to work around.

This area is quite different from last year but I always like to change it up to give you guys new inspiration each season. I post plenty of decor and home photos on my Instagram HERE. Go check it out and give it a follow while you’re there!

The Kitchen

I couldn’t leave my kitchen out of all this fun now, could I? The coffee bar in my kitchen is another area that I love to add touches of the new season. It always makes me happy to wake up, put my leopard print slippers on, shuffle to the kitchen, and make myself a sweet cup ‘o coffee in the morning in my sweet little coffee nook. It also fun to have a little area for coffee or tea to make for your guests. Your coffee bar needs to be a little dressed up for the occasion as well.

“Shall I make you a cup of Joe from the ‘ol wheel barrow this morning?”

The Dining Room

Something I just adore doing each season or holiday is setting up a table setting or “tablescape. That’s some jargon that we call it on the ‘gram. I used my great-grandmothers old but beautiful dolie my mom passed down to me in my table settings. It seems to add a touch of vintage and brightness to the area. The plates were also her’s as well, and my first time using them for a setting. I love to mix vintage decor pieces with new things. Do you do the same? I thought it turned out simple but gorgeous and couldn’t help but add it to my Instagram pronto.

Here is an up-close of my quaint dining room. My favorite part would be my hanging ladder that my husband helped me with one day. I got a wild hair once after browsing Pinterest, VISIT ME HERE, and decided it was time for one of my very own. Stay tuned! Because I will be adding a blog post on that process very soon as well. Hutches full of my Rae Dunn, Basket walls, and hanging ladders, OH MY!

Now as real life would have it, it, of course, doesn’t always look this way and perfect because I have two beautiful children. Let’s face it, this doesn’t last for a hot second in my house. But, let’s enjoy it anyway!

I sure hope you got some Spring decorating inspiration this beautiful season my friend. As I previously mentioned at the start, there will be exciting things to come! Don’t forget to subscribe below and I hope you enjoyed my take on Spring decorating: the farmhouse way!
