I’m so stinkin’ excited. Why you ask? It’s Spring! You know i had to take time not doing chores and decorate for the season. I decided to once again use mostly what I already had on hand (in the dusty attic) with just a few fun new things. It took me a few times to get these spaces how I had in my head but overall I’m happy with how they turned out. It definitely makes my spaces look more cheerful and has lots of color! Speaking of colors…

This post is a part of a home tour blog hop where this whole week 25 amazing ladies will show you their homes for Spring! So make sure to check out the bottom of this post and take a peek into each of our homes for fun and Spring inspiration.

I can’t wait!

Colors of Spring

Unlike Valentine’s Day where there are just 1-2 seasonal colors, I find that when decorating for spring that you can use essentially any colors your heart desires!

Orange pillow with spring bunnies

Like I mentioned, I used a lot of what I had so there were a few different colors. But this year I embraced more blues into my spring decor. Since my living room secondary color is blue with a hint of yellow accent color, I wanted to keep with some of that same theme.

Bunnies in Spring

I got a few new spring bunnies to add to my collection this year. When i started decorating i felt a few things were missing, so off to the store I go!

I got a few more neutral spring bunnies this time to kind of tone down and balance out some of the pastels I already had going on.

Aren’t they the cutest? Neutral spring is growing on me a bit especially paired with some very colorful spring decor.

Wreaths in Springtime

Wreaths are always a great staple not only for Spring time, but any season!

Spring fireplace mantle

This beaded wreath is new this year and I just purchased it while browsing around the store. I’ve noticed how popular beaded, well, anything decoration wise, is.

But once again, the mix of a bit of toned down neutral with a mix of fun pastels and greenery was a winner for me!

Spring mantle with large mirror and wreath

When decorating my fireplace this time, I went a little crazy with too much stuff and it made me realize that I actually preferred the “less is more” look here.

I layered a few floral spray bundles I had on hand. I think it adds nice texture, color and dimension to the family hearth for the season.

Simple, yet beautiful.

All the Florals

Aren’t florals just the right icing on the cake?

Whether it’s fall in my living room or spring- time, florals never let us down!

I love decorating with florals either in sprays, garlands, or just by themselves. Florals are great for spring after you add your “decor layers” and add the perfect finishing touch.

Other than the one blue bunny, everything here was reused from when I would decorate for spring at my previous home. It’s always great to get many uses out of what we buy.

I made another Spring table scape a few years ago and I love seeing what else I can do that’s new for the current year and play around with what I have.

Decorating with Garland for Spring

Garland for Spring is my definitely on my decor staples list.

To be honest I probably have too many but it’s fun to mix and match and do something different with them every year for Spring.

Dining room French country hutch with dining table and dining chair

The antique spring-like pink floral plates inside the frame was one of my favorite additions to this room. Not to mention, I used two different garland pieces to put over the arches doorway to the kitchen. I love it so much that I actually have kept it up all year long but shh, that’s our secret.

I also used garland for wrapping it around this huge antique frame on my dining room wall as well, it’s one of my favorite easy ways to add a simple accent wall.

Ah Spring, You’re the best.
